Guston is one of the most discussed painters of his time and today star of the younger generation of contemporary artists. Witty, lively, absurd and always on the pulse of their time, his paintings touch deeply – and are more current than ever. The film is a personal portrait that for the first time offers the opportunity to discover one of the pioneering painters of American modernism more deeply through the eyes of his daughter, friends and current artists.
