The orchestra of Konzerthaus Berlin celebrated the 70th birthday of Honorary Conductor Iván Fischer with a concert stream on January 20, 2021. The Hungarian was its chief conductor from 2012 to 2018 and continues to be closely associated with the orchestra in his current position.
The Konzerthausorchester Berlin has chosen “Eine deutsch-jiddische Kantate” from Iván Fischer’s oeuvre. The work will be performed under his direction by a small string ensemble, soprano and Artist in Residence Anna Prohaska and solo trumpeter Peter Dörpinghaus.
